NERLYNX™ (neratinib) is approved for patients with HER2+ early stage breast cancer. NERLYNX is a limited distribution oral oncology medication, which means it is not available from most pharmacies. According to the National Cancer Institute (NCI), 252,710 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. Approximately 20% of all breast cancers are histologically HER2-positive. Due to the aggressive nature of this subtype of breast cancer, about 26% of patients will have a recurrence of cancer despite trastuzumab-based therapy.
